A Family Business

In 1977 John and Jean Trigwell organised their first wine tasting for a group and soon afterwards, created their own wine club.

A six year experience as wine merchants, in the mid 80's, fostered close ties with some of the top wine growers in France. During this period, a chance meeting with a top Burgundian wine consultant led them to the world of wine tours.

For 16 years, they arranged and conducted wine tours to France, Italy, Spain and California, helping hundreds of wine lovers to experience the vineyards and cellars at first hand. They were able to gain greater knowledge in this field, also build up their wine collections.

This encouraged John and Jean to help clients with their wine cellar and storage requirements which gave them the idea to sell wine accessories. Having decided to cease the wine tour business at the end of 2003, they set up Tanglewood Wine Accessories in January 2004 and now have a thriving business, offering top quality wine storage solutions and accessories at the most competitive prices.

Their son Paul, joined the business in 2006 and is now at the helm, With Jean and John taking a background role as consultants and assisting with some of the site visits.

The current team of Paul, Suzie and Ben continue to offer a high quality personal and friendly service that has been the main factor behind the success of the business.
