Preliminary

The following terms and conditions apply to all purchases from Tanglewood Wine Accessories. When you make an order, it indicates that you accept the terms and conditions. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have.

Description of goods

Many of the products we sell are of a descriptive nature and it is not practical to publish the specifications of all of the products. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturers' brochures or their websites.

Accuracy of product information

All product specifications, images and other information published on our website have either been made accessible by suppliers, manufacturers, publications, publicists, or been gathered from public-domain sources. The intention of Tanglewood Wine Accessories is that all the information on the website should be as accurate and up to date as possible. However, Tanglewood Wine Accessories cannot guarantee the reliability or the accuracy of the information contained within its pages. All the actions taken by the user of the website are the responsibility of the individual.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or error in pricing information from our suppliers, taxes or duty changes, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders listed at the incorrect price whether or not the order has been confirmed. If your credit card has already been charged and we subsequently cancel your order, we will immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the value of the incorrect price (including delivery charges).

Wine bottle capacity

Because wine is bottled in different shaped bottles, indications of capacities of different versions of products are approximate only and typically based on Bordeaux bottles.

Variations to colours and sizes

Some of our products are natural products and as a result there may be some variations in colour or even sizes.

PAYMENT & PRICE

Price

All prices on the website are inclusive of VAT and some include delivery. Where delivery is not included we will advise you  the full cost including delivery before payment.

We are entitled to make adjustments to our prices due to increases in our suppliers' prices or in the duties levied. If, for any reason, the published price is incorrect ,we have the right to correct the cost even if your order is confirmed. You will be given the right to cancel your order in these circumstances.

In the event that we have listed an incorrect price, due to a typographical error, an error by our website designer, or an error in the information sent by our suppliers, we have the right to amend the price even if the order has been confirmed. You will have the opportunity to cancel the order if necessary and we will also have the right to cancel the order with you.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept payments for goods via the internet. telephone, credit card or you can send a cheque payable to Tanglewood Wine Accessories through the post. Cheques must be cleared through the banking system before the order is despatched.

DELIVERIES

When you place an order, either Tanglewood or our supplier will give you an approximate delivery date. We shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery of the goods.

You will be notified if delays are anticipated. If we are unable to make the delivery in a reasonable time, we will notify you and you will have the right to cancel the order.

Delivery will be to a ground floor location unless otherwise agreed. If the delivery entails carrying goods up stairs, or through difficult access etc. we must be notified. An extra charge might be levied in these circumstances.

You must notify us at least 5 working days before delivery if there are any restrictions which might affect the ability of our delivery company to make the delivery satisfactorily, i.e. difficult access, restricted parking, size of delivery vehicle, busy road or difficult position of property.

We reserve the right to pass on any subsequent delivery charges incurred for additional delivery attempts and redirection charges, should the recipient be unavailable to sign for the goods.

Deliveries made by our logistics company ‘Swiftcare’ for Climadiff, Le Chai & Caviss wine cabinets are delivered in approximately 7-10 working days from receipt of order.

Deliveries are made between 8am-8pm and you will be contacted one hour prior to delivery on the day.

If you would like delivery on a specific day and/or time i.e. am/pm this will be subject to an additional charge. You will need to contact Tanglewood should you require this service and to obtain a quotation.

Once a delivery date is booked with you the product is booked onto the delivery vehicle and scheduled onto the route for your delivery day. Should you cancel this delivery later than 24 hours prior to the day of delivery you will be charged for this delivery. The delivery will then have to be re-scheduled and the delivery process will start again. There will be no refund on the purchase price of the product for cancelled delivery charges.

It is the consumers/buyers responsibility to check the dimensions of the product you purchase to ensure that access from the delivery vehicle to where the product will be situated is large and clear enough. If on the day of delivery the product doesn’t fit into the property due to the access being too small the delivery will have to be aborted and the consumer/buyer will incur an aborted delivery charge.   

Damage in transit

If goods are damaged on arrival, you must indicate this on the delivery note. It is your responsibility to notify us as soon as possible, at the latest within 7 days.

Faulty goods

Products that are deemed faulty can be returned for replacement or a full refund.

This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have. Faulty goods can be returned up to 7 days following receipt of your order.

Shortages

It is your responsibility to sign for the correct number of packages as stated on the delivery note. Any shortages must be noted on the consignment note and it will be your responsibility to notify us within 10 days from delivery.

Incorrect goods

It is your responsibility to notify us of any incorrect goods supplied within 7 days of delivery.

GUARANTEE

Our receipt letter will confirm to you the guarantee period on products which are covered by the terms and conditions of a manufacturer's guarantee. You will be informed who to contact in the event of a breakdown in your product. The guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident or your negligence.

Service calls under guarantee, to goods that are found not to be defective, will be charged a fee according to normal service calls generally.

Where you are installing one of our products, you must ensure that you follow the instructions for installation and use supplied to you.

CANCELLATION

Cooling off period

You have the right to change your mind and cancel an order within 7 working days. If you decide to cancel, you must put your request in writing, by letter, (recorded delivery is advisable) fax or e-mail. A telephone call is not sufficient.

This does not apply if the goods are made specifically to your personal requirements, (i.e. especially wine racks).

If you have received the purchase then you must return the goods in perfect condition and in the original packaging. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to our suppliers. The cost of the goods purchased will be refunded to you in full, less the cost of the original delivery charge in getting the product to you, the customer.

Any products that are returned for exchange or refund not received back in the condition originally sent (including packaging) will be subject to a charge to cover the cost of the repackaging costs incurred.

We will deal with all complaints in the minimum of time and make every effort to satisfy your problem as rapidly as possible.
