Vinosafe climate control units are designed for cellars up to 40 cubic metres capacity. Fitted to the internal wall of the cellar, they can vent internally into an adjacent room (with adequate ventilation), or to the exterior.

The unit is only 300mm in depth, therefore, it can easily be concealed within your wine racking for a neater finish. See image on left

If fitted to an external wall it is very discreet on the outside. See image below.

The big advantage of the CL unit is that it does not have a condensate, as the evaporation of any excess moisture is taken care of within the functionality of the unit. There is therefore no requirement to collect water as there is with other brands.

The unit allows you to maintain your cellar’s temperature and humidity as well as providing air re-oxygenation through the two external vents.
Two ventilation grills or brick vents (pictured below) are required to cover or insert into the ventilation holes.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• If the unit is not venting externally it must vent into a large and well ventilated room/area where the temperature does not exceed around 25°C, to ensure that the refrigeration unit will be effective and will work to its optimum.


• Dust sucked in by the air-conditioning unit will reduce the efficiency of operation and the cooling capabilities of the unit. The condenser should be cleaned (using a vacuum cleaner) on a regular basis to avoid it getting clogged up. N.B. This is not covered by the warranty.


• If the unit is installed in a cellar/room which has recently been plastered it is advisable to only turn the unit on once the room/walls have dried out. The moisture/water tray is not large enough to cope with excess amounts of moisture which can be drawn from the walls if they are still wet.


• Cellars which are particularly damp or even wet will require modifications to be made to evacuate the condensate outside of the cellar.


• If the wall onto which you are installing the unit is external and has a cavity, please ensure that the cavity is sleeved. Please note : materials for sleeving are not supplied with the unit.
